$1.7 trillion! Clean energy investment to outpace fossil fuel spending by 2023, says IEA
Investment in clean energy will reach $1.7 trillion in 2023, surpassing spending on fossil fuels, the IEA said, as countries seek to address potential energy shortages. It said in its investment report that global energy investment is expected to reach US$2.8 trillion in 2023, of which more than 60% is allocated to clean technologies, including renewable energy, electric vehicles, nuclear energy and heat pumps.
