Indian government clarifies: no plan to cut import duty on solar modules
A few days ago, Reuters and several Indian news media reported that the Indian government plans to cut the import tax on solar modules from the existing 40% to 20%, but did not mention the 25% import tax on solar cells. The report also talked about excise tax breaks for solar equipment. In response, India's Ministry of New and Renewable Resources (MNRE) clarified that there is no such plan.
