Bill Gates invests in new 10GW silicon wafer production capacity in the United States!
On June 13, CubicPV, a solar component manufacturer, said it had raised $103 million to build a silicon wafer factory in the United States. The company is headquartered in Bedford, Massachusetts, with a capacity of 10GW and will be completed in 2024. The company is said to be led by the clean energy arm of Thai industrial conglomerate SCG, with investments from Bill Gates and Hunt Energy.
