First Solar Announces Construction of Fifth Manufacturing Facility in the U.S.
First Solar, a major producer of thin-film solar panels, has announced plans to add a fifth manufacturing facility in the United States. The plant is expected to invest $1.1 billion for a production capacity of 3.5 GW per year. The plant is scheduled to be operational in 2026 and is expected to contribute to the company's 14 GW of capacity in the U.S. and 25 GW globally.
