European Parliament adopts 42.5% renewable energy target for 2030
On September 12, the European Parliament officially passed a resolution to increase the renewable energy target of EU countries from 32% to 42.5% in 2030. At this point, this renewable energy target has been fully adopted at the European level, and then only needs to be adopted by each EU member state. In a recent European Parliament vote, the Renewable Energy Target bill was passed with a majority of 42.5%.
