France raises photovoltaic installation target!
The French government aims to add 140 to 175 GW of wind, solar and hydropower capacity within 12 years (from 63.5 GW in 2022). France plans to sign at least 5 GW of "contracts for difference" every year to promote the development of photovoltaic projects. France could have 100 gigawatts of solar capacity by 2035, 15 years earlier than President Macron envisaged before his re-election last year.
