In terms of silicon wafers, on May 5, TCL Central announced its latest silicon wafer price, which dropped significantly compared to the last publicized price (April 6), with the price of P-type-182 plunging 8.75% to 5.84 yuan/chip. The price is basically equivalent to the level at the beginning of 2022. It can be said that silicon wafer prices are back to square one after a year of oscillation. Although high purity quartz sand prices are throwing up, they are not enough to support wafer prices.
After the price of silicon wafers fell, the last "price protection" fortress of the photovoltaic industry chain has been broken, the whole industry chain price reduction channel has been opened, a new round of price war will also reopen.
