U.S. Bureau of Land Management: Proposes to Cut Project Fees for Wind and Solar Facilities by 80%
The U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has announced a proposal to cut project fees for wind and solar installations on federal lands by 80% and streamline the process, lowering costs for producers while reducing electricity costs for end users. At the same time, it will also provide greater financial predictability and certainty to the private sector and allow the agency to promote their development in priority areas without going through a full auction.
