IEA: The demand for copper in the solar industry will exceed 2,000 kilotons!
A few days ago, the International Energy Agency (IEA) released the report "Review of Key Mineral Markets to 2023". The report links solar photovoltaic power generation to growth in copper demand. The data shows that the global annual demand for copper in the solar photovoltaic industry will increase from 756.8 thousand tons in 2022 to a peak of 2062.5 thousand tons in 2035, and will decline to 1879.8 thousand tons in 2050.
