India: PV installed capacity fell by 13.5% in the first half of the year
According to the latest research report released by JMK Research, in the first half of 2023, India will add 6,794MW of photovoltaic installed capacity, a decrease of about 13.5% from the same period last year. Some analysts believe that India imposes heavy taxes on solar cell modules imported from China, which will lead to a 30% to 40% increase in the price of photovoltaic modules in the second half of 2022. This policy affects the bankability of PV projects.
