U.S. 5GW silicon wafer plant receives $8.5 million in funding
Norwegian solar wafer maker NorSun has raised NOK 90 million ($8.5 million) in equity financing to support its expansion in Europe and the United States. Norsun said the company would work to finalize plans for its 5GW U.S. wafer fabrication plant and coordinate assessments of potential expansion with Norway's Ardal region, where its existing factory is located, and other European locations.
