Sri Lankan government launches tender for two 100 MW floating solar power plants
The Sri Lankan government’s Ministry of Power and Energy said it is inviting applicants to submit minimum cost basis proposals for the country’s first photovoltaic auction. The government-owned Ceylon Electricity Authority is welcoming bids to develop two 100-megawatt floating solar power plants on the surface of the Samanalawewa reservoir, 160 kilometers south of the country's capital, Colombo, according to tender documents.
