South Africa launches 1.8GW solar tender
South Africa’s Department of Mineral Resources and Energy has launched the seventh round of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Program (REIPPPP). The government said it expects to allocate 3.2GW of onshore power and 1.8GW of solar PV through procurement activities. Interested developers have until April 30 to submit bids.
