India announces further extension of compliance deadline for inverter-related quality control orders by one year
On January 3, 2024, India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) announced that the compliance period for quality control orders (QCO) related to solar photovoltaic (SPV) inverters will be extended by one year to December 2024. March 31st. The so-called "Compliance Period for Quality Control Orders (QCOs) Related to Photovoltaic (SPV) Inverters" was originally the "Solar Photovoltaic, Systems, Equipment and Components Goods (Mandatory Registration Requirements) Order" announced by India's MNRE in 2017 , requiring all imported photovoltaic-related products to pass quality inspection by India’s local certification agency, the so-called BIS certification.
