Cyprus proposes “photovoltaic for all” plan
The Cyprus Post reported on November 9 that Commerce, Industry and Energy Minister George Papanastasiou proposed a 30 million euro plan aimed at increasing the use of photovoltaic panels in Cyprus to reduce household electricity bills. Despina Panayiotou Theodosiou, chairperson of the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC), said the agency had “worked closely and productively with the Ministry of Energy to establish a task force” to implement the PV for All programme.
